Using ONVIF explorer for unknown cameras

In case you do not find anything even remotely similar to your camera in the list of “Templates” when creating a camera model, you can try to add support for this unknown camera model to WolfRecorder by yourself using the “ONVIF device explorer”. We assume it's obvious that to use it, your camera must support ONVIF and have it enabled.

Basically, you only need to know the camera's IP, login, and password.

If device discovery is performed successfully, you will be able to see the available stream data.

And have the possibility to create a new custom “device model template”.

Like this:

Which can then be used to create a “Camera model”.

Camera templates with “custom device templates” are marked with a gear icon.

Now you can try to register your camera.
